and former students of the nursery school

4 cabinet doors and splash backs
each door: 130 cm x 70 cm.
splashbacks: 18x 220 cm., 22x220cm.
Water based enamel paint on marine plywood

children’s drawings were collected. I scanned each drawing and digitally collaged four themes:
1. the village
2. the sea and the mountains
3. a rainbow landscape
4. the playground

The sink splash back is of sea urchins and the front is a collaged sea scene.

Tracing from scaled drawings, I then handpainted these compositions onto wood.

Each of the four stalls has a green chalkboard on the inside of the door so the students can draw there. A small drawing done by former students in the school is also there to inspire present student's efforts.
